Yousef joined Articulate Agency in 2016 and immediately landed the role of Ghani Al-Yazbec in the US TV series Tyrant (Fox), having never acted professionally before. In 2018, he appeared as Sami Hussain in Strike Back (Sky TV), which was filmed in the Middle East. Shortly after, Yousef landed the role of Teddy Nasir in Casualty (BBC).
The following year, in 2019, Yousef landed the iconic role of Joseph Stubbs in The Dumping Ground on CBBC, which he filmed across three years, and the following year starred in another CBBC show titled School Bus.
In 2022, he featured as Saleem Paracha in Ackley Bridge (Series 4 & 5) for Channel 4 and took on the role of Yousef in The Bay for ITV – juggling both projects simultaneously.
The following year, in 2023, he filmed for the short film Youthless (Idle Work Factory), and in 2024, Yousef appeared as a guest lead in Series 27 of the award-winning British soap opera Doctors for the BBC.
The start of 2025 has been a busy year for Yousef: he portrayed Young Mobeen in Man Like Mobeen for Tiger Aspect Productions. He also gained a lot of public interest for his role as Ateeq in the BBC series Virdee, which he filmed throughout 2024 and which aired in February 2025.
He has been busy start of 2025, working on a small role in Emmerdale for ITV and a very large role in a confidential feature film.
