Articulate Kids Voiceover Work for ‘Downton Abbey Movie’ Down in London!

Articulate Kids Voiceover Work for ‘Downton Abbey Movie’ Down in London!

We’re so pleased that our lovely little voiceover kids had fun on their all-expenses paid trip to London, doing voiceover work for ‘Downton Abbey The Movie’!

Articulate kids Alfie Wilson, Hattie Edkins, Milly Chapman, Sebastian Peters and Austin Haynes all went down to London to do the voice work. From what we hear they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained some positive knowledge in a more diverse acting sector than they’re used to- voiceover work. The best actors and actresses are multitalented and can excel in all acting roles, in which these guys truly can!

The best part of the whole experience is actually the fact that these Articulate kids all go to different Articulate classes, and yet all bonded really well and became really good friends! This happens a lot with Articulate kids, especially when filming or doing live shows… we’re like one big extended family!

We asked some of the kids about their personal experiences on the day,

Alfie (11), said:

“I’ve been at Articulate for two years and attend the Bingley classes. On the day I had to improvise and get the perfect voice take. London eye and the 4D experience were amazing, and just visiting London in general, Trafalgar square was really good too. I had an awesome day, the voiceover work was completely different to what I have done before, but really fun. I just enjoyed the whole day!”

Sebastian (11), said:

“I have been at Articulate for three and a half years. I go to drama and performing arts in Baildon. When we got to the recording studio we had to go in a room and say some lines that we were given. We also had to scream and shout and get excited for a big event that was happening in the film we were doing the voiceover for.  While we were in London, we also got the chance to visit M&M world which is filled with M&Ms!

Hattie (12), said:

“I’ve been coming to Articulate since September 2018. I go to Drama class and LAMDA lessons at Cleckheaton and I absolutely LOVE it!

The day was fantastic, and it was an amazing experience to be part of something so big. We met the producer and director as well as the sound team. It was really interesting to watch how the team worked together to put our voices to video clips. On the day we went on the train from Leeds to London Kings Cross. Whilst we were at the station, we went to platform 9 3/4 and we had our photo taken, I love Harry Potter, so it was brilliant!  We also went on the London Eye and we could see for miles!”

Millie (9) said:

“I started going to the Ilkley classes for Drama and Performing arts in January this year. It was good seeing the film posters and looking at the films that had been made there in the studio previously. I loved all of it though, it was a brilliant day and we had so much fun. I made 5 new friends, we were a bit shy at first but then Hattie and I became close friends, then we all became friends.”

Well done kids, you were awesome and thank you chaperones for taking such wonderful care of them!
