Rhys Connah stars in an episodic guest lead role in Episode 7 of BBC’s new TV Show, What It Feels Like For A Girl!
Happy Valley’s Rhys Connah is taking to the screen again as Carl in What It Feels Like For A Girl.
The show is an adaptation of journalist Paris Lees’ memoir about growing up in Nottinghamshire, as it chronicles the coming-of-age of Byron, who is seen by others as a boy.
In Episode 7, Rhys’s character strikes up an unlikely friendship with the show’s lead, Byron, played by Ellis Howard.
Previously, Rhys played the pivotal role of Ryan Cawood in Happy Valley, seasons 1, 2, and 3, opposite James Norton.
We asked Rhys what it was like filming: “I had a great time filming What It Feels Like For A Girl, it was an incredible experience playing a different kind of role and stepping out of my comfort zone. The whole cast and crew were phenomenal.”
We are incredibly proud of Rhy’s acting journey, and it’s great seeing him on our screens as Carl!
