Articulate Drama School & Casting Agency

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man Out Now!

Bonnie Stott, 9, and Alfie Thomas Bland, 20, feature in the highly anticipated crime drama film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which is out now in select cinemas.

Directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight, the film is a continuation of the iconic British television series Peaky Blinders, starring Cillian Murphy.

The eagerly awaited film was set for cinematic release on 6th March and will stream on Netflix two weeks later, from 20 March.

Taking place in 1940 during the Second World War, the series is set almost four years after the beloved series concluded.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man marks Bonnie’s first-ever cast role in a feature film — a major milestone in her young career.

In the film, Bonnie takes on the role of Ruby Shelby, the daughter of Thomas and Lizzie Shelby.

Bonnie said:

“This is my first cast role in a film, so it’s been very exciting.”

“I worked closely with Cillian Murphy as well as Sophie Rundle, who plays Ada Shelby. They were really nice and helped me feel at ease in my scenes.”

Bonnie has taken part in weekly in-person and online drama classes at Articulate Drama School from a young age.

To date, Articulate has secured several parts for Bonnie, including the role of Poppy Hepworth in Happy Valley and Young Linda in season 2 of The Change.

“All my drama classes have helped me feel confident in front of the camera. The drama school helps me to always keep my focus on improving my skills.”

“Being on set, I learnt a lot. I learned what it was like to work in a studio as my scenes were shot in Shepperton Studios, which was really exciting. But I also enjoyed the adventure of travelling to different areas of the country to film.”

“The team were really welcoming, my assistant director made me a chocolate bowl on my first day of filming!”

The film stars Cillian Murphy alongside an ensemble cast including Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, and Stephen Graham, reprising their roles, alongside new additions Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo.

Fellow Articulate talent Alfie Thomas Bland, aged 20, also features in the role of Charles Shelby, the half-brother of Ruby Shelby and son of Thomas and Grace Shelby. This marks Alfie’s first-ever cast role.

Alfie said:

It was surreal to be on set, talking to people who I’ve looked up to in the industry. Working alongside Barry [Keoghan] and Rebecca [Ferguson] was amazing. I wanted to soak up everything and pick up wisdom from these seasoned actors.”

“To be a part of such an already iconic franchise is incredible. I first started watching Peaky Blinders when I was in Year 10, so to be playing a Shelby brother now is crazy.”

“Putting myself into the shoes of an already established character was interesting. I already understood the character’s circumstances, so I needed to be true to the character and value how they were already portrayed.”

We are so proud Bonnie and Alfie!
