We’re thrilled to share that Chukwubuikem Molokwu, Jack Barnes, and Yousef Naseer star in the third season of Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA-winning hit drama Time.
Time follows the lives of inmates and staff in UK prisons. Starring David Tennant and Siobhan Finneran, this series focuses on a young offenders’ institution, exploring the impact of locking up teenagers.
Chukwubuikem takes on the role of Christopher, Jack takes on the role of Chaz, and Yousef takes on the role of Nadim.
Time marks a breakthrough role for Chuk. His character, Christopher, is a teenager abandoned by his mother, left without a father figure, siblings, or close friends. He is good-hearted but vulnerable; he was drawn into trouble by others. He lives with a stammer and tries to build a relationship with his birth mother, a storyline the writers have described as especially personal and heartbreaking. We are so proud to have secured such a powerful role.
Jack’s character, Chaz arrives at the Young Offender’s Institute after a violent attack on a stranger. This also marks his first major role.
