Articulate’s Megan Griffiths (12) has landed a lead role in Egg and Chips, a local short film focusing on poverty in the North.
Megan is no newcomer to acting, having recently featured in ITV’s Malpractice as Carly, and making appearances in CBBC’s Jamie Johnson, ITV’s The Hunt for Raoul Moat, BBC’s Peaky Blinders and a Facebook Portal advert. She produced a great self tape, and then had an in person audition before landing the role.
Egg and Chips is a short film being produced in Leeds. A heartwarming but realistic story of poverty in modern-day Britain, the script was a finalist at Raindance film festival 2021. The writer and director, Helen Iley, hopes to raise awareness and funds for charities that help children in poverty, and inner-city community projects. This is such an important local project and we are so happy that Megan is a part of it.
