Iyla Sundarsingh McKaig has done a string of TV shows in the UK, with her last cast role in the hit Toxic Town (Netflix). Iyla’s first Articulate role was a few episodes of Emmerdale (ITV) when she first started with us. She started acting at the end of four, and is a long-standing student in the Articulate Drama School. After working in Emmerdale, at 15, Iyla played the part of Usma as a series regular in CBBC’s Jamie Johnson (series 7).

Iyla is set to play Hema in Unaccustomed Earth (Netflix), for which she moved to New York for filming! She will be sharing the screen with stars like Freida Pinto, Indraneil Sengupta, and Adi Roy.

She is also taking on the role of Chloe in Extra Geography, a British drama film set for release later on in 2026.
