The Phoenix of Gloucester is a short film presented at the Xiaomi Film Festival, directed by award-winning filmmaker James Lucas and starring Articulate’s Owen Phillips (11) as Young Charlie.
Owen is no newcomer to acting – he recently joined the cast of CBBC’s The Dumping Ground as new series regular Wes, as well as playing Sackville Sutherland in Gentleman Jack Series 2 and making plenty of commercial appearances. He is a super hard worker and has already landed another cast role in a film!
The Phoenix of Gloucester is a 20 minutes drama about the relationship between Charlie and his grandfather, and the mysterious phoenix. It was released on YouTube on the 15th September.
