Matilda Kent Stars in BBC Radio Play: My Mother Said I Never Should

The award-winning play My Mother Said I Never Should has been adapted into a radio drama by the BBC, and features Matilda Kent (11) in her first radio role!

My Mother Said I Never Should was written in 1985 by Charlotte Keatley, and explores the relationship between mothers and daughters. It portrays four generations of women throughout the 20th century, and how the significant social changes of the eras impact them. The play has won several awards and has been revived multiple times – most recently as a radio play for BBC Radio 4, starring Siobhan Finneran and Lesley Nicol.

Matilda landed the role of Child Doris in January. Previously, she has starred in a range of commercials including for ITVX Kids, MG Motors, and a couple for Legoland Deutschland Resort (alongside fellow Articulate actor Jack O’Connor). Matilda also appeared in an episode of Channel 5’s All Creatures Great and Small as Carol Crabtree. She’s an incredibly hard worker, and we cannot wait to see what she lands next!
