Rory Wilmot Stars Opposite Gal Gadot in New Action Thriller

Rory Wilmot, aged 11, appears alongside Gal Gadot in The Runner, a new action thriller directed by Kevin Macdonald.

Rory plays Noah Marten, the son of Gadot’s character, Maia, a high-powered attorney who must race through London to save her abducted son while following cryptic commands from a mysterious caller.

The film also stars Damian Lewis and Alfred Enoch.

Working with director Kevin Macdonald was a highlight for Wilmot.

“I loved working with Kev, the director; he was fun. He listened to me, and I listened to him.”

Rory adds that Macdonald had “the full creative vision of the film.”

“The cast were great too and friendly.”

At the heart of The Runner is the relationship between Maia and Noah, something Rory felt came naturally to him and Gadot on screen.

“My character is an only child so they are very close as mother and son.”

“Gal was really natural and real playing my mum, so it felt easy,” he says.

“I hope the people watching will be at the edge of their seats.”

The Runner marks another significant step in Rory’s rapidly developing screen career. A few of his previous credits include appearing in the television series FBI: International and the Netflix drama series Unchosen, in which he plays Anthony. He is also set to star as Neville Longbottom in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television series.

Trained through our drama school, taking in-person screen acting lessons, Rory is part of a new generation of northern talent breaking into the industry.

Rory is slowly establishing himself as one of the emerging young British actors to watch.

The Runner is available on Prime Video now.
