What We Teach

Our classes teach children and teenagers the skills they need to thrive in life. The drama classes are designed to equip your child with confidence, the ability to stand up and speak in front of an audience, to put forward their points clearly and intelligently, to comprehensive screen acting skills, covering everything from the basics to advanced techniques.

Juniors and Inters

Our classes for those in Reception to Year 5 focus on learning valuable core life skills including having confidence and self belief, the ability to speak in front of others and raise points clearly and articulately, to use their imaginations and creativity, to work with others and form friendships, to celebrate the success’ of one another and to learn empathy and emotional intelligence through thoughts, feelings, poems, scripts and stories. We do all of this in a fun, exciting way and our children leave our classes filled with self-belief with huge smiles on their faces.

Seniors and Advanced

Our classes for those students in year 6 and above, is where we get a little more serious while still focusing on our core values taught in the younger classes. You can expect to be working with scripts from television and film covering serious emotional scenes as well as adventure, action and comedy. Our tutors use audition scripts from shows like Waterloo Road, Adolescence and major movies. The Articulate teachers work with students on acting style and delivery of lines, use of pause, reaction, creating light and shade in the performance, making the performance varied and interesting, naturalism, use of accents and nuanced delivery. How to create and film a perfect self-tape audition is covered regularly, as well as improvisation. The classes are described as having a real ‘buzz’ in them- where everyone is welcomed, accepted and everyone is there for the same reasons. Students leave the class with a real excitement and passion and friendships are often continued outside of the classes.

Articulate is a fantastic way to learn and develop drama skills. Verity is loving attending every Thursday in Rotherham and we love how she’s grown not only in her acting skills but the confidence in her everyday life. Brilliant sessions that let children grow in their knowledge of drama and acting but also giving them life skills to achieve whatever they choose to work at!!

My daughter's confidence has come on in leaps and bounds I never thought she would stay to the first class given she was so nervous and shy when she started and now she's unrecognisable I would highly recommend for any budding artist .

All children are given the opportunity to develop at their own pace and able to access valuable support from industry professionals on a weekly basis. The venue itself is accessible with good parking and facilities for parents to wait if required.
